| Sonia Yarde is an accomplished actress, stage manager, writer, director and producer. She started acting at the age of 16 and won 2 ‘Best Actress’ - Theatre Arts Awards for lead roles in 1996 for Same Song Different Tune her first play and in 2001 for Ken Dann's ‘Mango Tree’. She is a Certified Peer Educator/Counselor in HIV/AIDS. Toured with the Link Show to Canada and the USA and participated in the HIV/AIDS movie - Against All Odds. She was the spokesperson for Singer Guyana Inc. She hosted Youth Talent and Voices and as a drama teacher, did 2 years of successful theatre workshops at N.C.C with youths. She is now Artistic Director for Harmony Angels Dance & Drama Group, of the Harmony Light Church.
